A new year

Well I thought I should do an update on life here at the Garcias. Ben is still working for the Coleman Company and loving it. I'm staying at home with the boys. Damien will be 4 in 14 days and counting. He can't wait and asks me everyday, "is it my birthday?" therefore the countdown. Dominic is loving being a big brother. Whenever Malakai starts to cry he runs to find me and says, "makai crying!"
Damien loves going to school, last week we made rain sticks and shakers. Dominic always ask if he can come too. We haven't been doing much outside due to the weather which they boys hate. They get cabin fever.
Malakai has started to sit up on his own and scooting a little bit. He doesn't have to do much of anything with big brothers around. They get his binkie when he's crying, they play with him. I'm sure Malakai is thinking, " why should I move? They cater to my every need!"
Anyways here are a few pictures of the boys:

The State Fair!!

Our Family day at the State Fair! We took a day trip out to Hutch to enjoy the fair. The weather, well it was a little chilly but better than being HOT! We bundled the boys up and headed out!

The theme this year was Hang with the Hogs.
This is the sand sculpture for the theme.
The first thing we hit was the petting zoo. After we left I thought...I should have gotten with Malakai in it! Oh well too late now!
Malakai spent most of the day in the front pack carrier but while we ate I put him in the stroller. He really seemed to enjoy it.

Then we went and rode some rides!! Here's Damien in line for the trucks! Dominic was going to ride too! But before it started he jumped out.

So.... here's Damien enjoying the ride... by himself!

Then on to the carousel! Dominic DID ride this one but started to cry as it went round and round. Damien of course really enjoyed it! He didn't even need someone to stand next to him this time! Daddy did ride with Dominic.

On to the motor cycles! Here are their before pictures...

And after it started moving...

If you look in the background Dominic is crying again! Damien...having a good time! Now we didn't force him to ride these he wanted too. But then they we move and he start crying! He was more into the slides.

Here comes Damien!!

Here comes Dominic!! Ben is up there with him, but Dominic came down be himself!

Daddy came down after to fast for me to catch on camera but almost knocked Dominic over! Good thing there was a big mattress at the bottom! It was pretty fun! I did it too!

I know it doesn't look like it but Dominic really enjoyed this one also!~ By the end of the day they were pretty wiped out!!

Not wiped out enough to skip a picture with Sparky the fire dog!

Oh and we had to see the Horses!! This is Damien showing the lady he was sitting next to in the horse barn his cool shoes!

That was our day! We had a great time and can wait for next year!

Some new pictures

Our little Malakai

Damien, I really like his smile. It's actually real!

And Dominic...oh boy! He was eating, can you tell?

School

Well Damien has started going to a program called "First things First" is specifically for 3 year olds through Parents as Teachers. He and I get up every Wednesday morning and get ready for school. It's from 8:30 to 10:30. Luckily with Ben working second shift Damien and I are able to do this together, while Ben stays home with Dominic and Malakai. This is the morning of his second class.
Here Damien is signing in for the day. He has to sign his name and find his picture to put on the wall.
After he signs in he can pick a toy out and play until all his friends get there. Due to my camera batteries dying I couldn't take any more pictures. But our day usually consit of these fun things, we sing songs, have a little lesson, do some activites, go outside and play or sing and dance, we read a story and then play some more
and go home.
All in all Damien really enjoys it.

Update

Everything is going great! The boys are adjusting really well. Malakai for the most part is a pretty laid back baby. Although he likes to be held, a lot! Damien and Dominic are the best big brothers! It is quite aparant the love their baby brother!
